Overview
This role involves leading and managing projects, building relationships with partners, and ensuring technical quality assurance in a regional context.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Christian leadership and nurture staff spirituality.
- Facilitate a working environment of mutual trust and respect.
- Build the capacity of staff and develop personal capacity building plans.
- Coach and mentor staff on leadership and project models.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key partners, including government institutions.
- Represent the organization in technical working groups.
- Facilitate teamwork, coordination, and work planning.
- Coordinate and network to secure technical resources.
- Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) and manage logistics and finance.
- Monitor project spending against budget and report on variances.
- Ensure community Development Officers (CDOs) are informed of recent approaches.
- Identify training needs and conduct training for staff and volunteers.
- Support the preparation and submission of quality and timely reports.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching on Transformational Development (TD) Principles.
- Support the completion of project design.
- Support the process of Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation (DME).
- Ensure monitoring systems and tools are developed and used.
- Train Project Facilitators on using tools.
- Coordinate revisions of plans and budgets.
- Write and submit draft Project Semi-Annual and Annual Reports.
- Provide strategic leadership to the annual Programmed Quality Self-Review process.
- Engage with government and churches for sustainability and scaling up.
- Attend and participate in weekly chapel services and regular devotional meetings.
- Support in hosting visits of sponsors, donors, and WV staff.
- Assist in humanitarian emergency disaster management.
Required Experience
A minimum of two years of appropriate professional experience (Child Health, DRR and Climate Change Adaptation). Demonstrated experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing. Proven leadership ability and experience as a team.
Qualifications
University degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. Public Health, Development Studies, Philosophy & Social Science and Humanity).
