Overview
The OSCE Mission to Serbia is seeking an intern for its Political, Communication and Reporting Section to assist with political and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in drafting, reviewing and proofreading reports, correspondence, talking points, background materials, media summaries, articles, draft legislation and other written products;
- Conducting fact-finding, research, information verification and analytical tasks, and compiling information to support the work of the Office of the Head of Mission;
- Developing and maintaining overviews of the status of key reform initiatives and other priority issues on which the Mission provides assistance;
- Liaising with the Mission's field teams and programmatic departments to ensure the accuracy, consistency and comprehensiveness of the Mission's written products;
- Drafting the daily headline news review and news updates and, when required, providing backup in delivering morning press briefings for the Mission's senior staff;
- Supporting the preparation of field visits and selected meetings, including drafting of meeting minutes, as required;
- Maintaining, organizing and streamlining the use of the Units’ archives and information management systems;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Previous experience in an international organization or in diplomacy, in governmental or civil society organizations, or in political organizations would be an asset.
Qualifications
University degree in political studies, law, international relations, development studies, journalism, communication, or similar fields, or completion of at least two years of full-time studies in the aforementioned fields from an accredited institution in lieu.
