Overview
The Financial Integrity Specialist will provide expertise within GPCG’s focus area on financial integrity, aiming to develop integrated policy alternatives and solutions. The role will contribute to research, analysis, policy development, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead policy research and data analysis on governance dimensions of financial integrity.
- Develop and test integrated policy alternatives and solutions on financial integrity.
- Conceptualize and implement stakeholder engagements and platforms for knowledge exchange.
- Engage with government, private sector, civil society, and international organizations.
- Develop policy briefs, reports, and knowledge products.
- Map best practices and support capacity strengthening and peer learning.
- Conceptualize and implement strategic advocacy engagements on financial integrity.
- Represent UNDP at regional and international fora.
- Oversee select areas of work of an Intern.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 7 years (with master’s degree) or 9 years (with bachelor’s degree) of professional experience in governance, public finance, development financing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of directly relevant professional experience working on financial integrity-related issues from a governance perspective.
- Proven policy research experience with publications, policy briefs, guidance and/or working papers.
- Experience in leading consultations and facilitating discussions among a wide group of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of regional and international financial integrity systems, processes, and frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of governance and financial integrity at country level, especially developing countries.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of current debates regarding international financial accountability, tax justice transparency and integrity, financing for sustainable development and the 2030 Agenda.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of normative frameworks for human rights.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in International Development, Political Science, Economics, Public Finance, Development Financing, Public Policy, or a relevant field is required.
- Or A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
