Overview
Provide legal, regulatory, and commercial advisory services to facilitate private sector investment and mobilize international capital in Ukraine’s energy and related infrastructure sectors.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct legal and regulatory analysis for reforms and alignment with EU energy acquis and international best practices
- Draft, review, and provide input on legislation, regulatory instruments, and policies
- Provide guidance on legal, regulatory, and commercial frameworks promoting private sector participation
- Offer actionable legal and commercial recommendations to improve the investment climate
- Support initiatives promoting competitive energy markets, security of supply, and energy efficiency
- Collaborate with technical and financial teams on legal and commercial integration
- Engage with key stakeholders for coordination and support of energy sector reforms
- Contribute to activities reducing regulatory barriers and promoting private investment
- Share insights from international best practices for legal and regulatory improvements
- Provide training and capacity building on legal and commercial aspects of energy sector reforms
- Track legal and regulatory developments and provide advice
- Coordinate external legal consultants
- Represent the legal and regulatory team in consultations
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in legal and regulatory advisory roles, including drafting and reviewing legislation, policy, and commercial agreements in the energy sector
- At least 2 years of experience working with high-level stakeholders, including senior government counterparts, regulators, and industry persons
- Experience in project/business structuring and providing transaction, legal and commercial advisory services related to private investment mobilization
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in law, Energy Law, Commercial Law, or related discipline
