Caritas Jesi is a place of inclusion and hospitality that works with people, often with strong weaknesses, to support and accompany them in their life path. The main objective of Caritas is the promotion of the person, as a whole, and the accompaniment towards autonomy and the exit from poverty. With this spirit, our diocesan centre promotes various services for people: a canteen, a food emporium, a clothing emporium, reception centre for homeless people “Casa delle Genti”, “Centro d’ascolto”, solidarity clinic, job search desk. We offer volunteers a strong experience of growth, training and awareness, in the reality of a territory with many needs but also many opportunities. We are looking for open-minded volunteers, empathetic, with a great desire to do and get involved. Volunteers will be welcomed in an apartment located at our centre, in a dedicated area. The weekly timetable will be about 30-35 hours Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The accommodation is rented by the Supporting (Coordinating) Organisation in proximity of the city centre. The volunteer will be accommodated in double room divided by gender. The flat will be shared with the other volunteers and has all the needed facilities. No transport needed. Participant profile We are open to involve any kind of participants regardless of their origins, culture, education, language, sexual orientation and beliefs. We work inclusively and we would like to give the opportunity to everybody who is motivated and interested in the objectives and activities of the project. The volunteers will be involved in all the phases of our work, from the planning of the activities, to the implementation and evaluation. Therefore, we would like to host volunteers that enjoy doing activities with people in cooperation with others.
