Tasks Summary

Are you passionate about teaching English and interested in making a positive impact on adult learners’ lives? Parli un po' italiano? YMCA Siderno is seeking enthusiastic volunteer English teachers to help empower our community. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are motivated by the chance to build connections, share their language skills, and create meaningful change. As a volunteer, you'll dive into fun and lively English sessions with our adult learners, sparking conversations that go beyond the basics! You'll be their guide as they gain confidence and pick up the language skills to unlock new opportunities. Think of it as helping them build their English "toolkit"—one fun chat at a time! Whether you’re experienced or just passionate about teaching, your support will be invaluable. Join us in Siderno, Southern Italy, to make a real difference while enjoying the rich culture, beautiful landscapes, and warm hospitality of the region. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements To ensure comfort and privacy, YMCA Siderno provides a well-equipped shared apartment. This accommodation includes shared bedrooms and bathrooms, a heating system, electricity, water, WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and a shared living room, all designed to create a warm and inviting home. The apartment is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from our main offices. Nearby, you'll find everything you need within walking distance: cafes, diverse shops, fitness centers, restaurants, and pharmacies. Siderno's community and relaxed pace make it easy to settle in and feel at home. Training during the activity All the necessary trainings to live in the community and in the work environment will be provided. The volunteer will also be participating in the trainings provided by the National Agency. Participant profile YMCA Siderno warmly welcomes young volunteers between 18 and 29 from across Europe, regardless of background, culture, ethnicity, race, or religion. We are especially committed to supporting individuals who may have faced discrimination, social rejection, economic hardship, or other challenges. We embrace volunteers from all walks of life, including those with fewer opportunities, and are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
