Volunteers work with residents on key areas such as water, education, housing, environment, youth, and women’s empowerment, helping improve daily life and strengthen resilience. Year 2 starts this March in Vietnam, where 12 volunteers will spend 45 days supporting the community. Our approach is collaborative, working with the community rather than imposing solutions—shifting the journey from “me” to “we”. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation: Volunteers will stay with local host families, in shared rooms with beds on the floor, separated by curtains. Food: Meals will be provided and organized by CSDS. The diet includes rice, dairy, eggs, vegetables and meat. Since it will be traditional Vietnamese food, there will also be vegetarian and vegan options. Transport Arrangements: Arrival in Vietnam: Volunteers will land in Hanoi. Travel to Chien Village: Organized bus. Training during the activity On-Arrival Training: Upon arrival in Vietnam, volunteers will receive an orientation on logistics, including visa paperwork, insurance and agreements. A cultural briefing on Vietnam’s history, social dynamics, and expected behavior. Conflict resolution training to navigate cultural differences. Environmental sustainability training, focusing on eco-friendly behaviors Ongoing Training & Support Mentors: Mentors accompany the team, ensuring safety and guiding learning experiences. Participant profile We are looking for young people (18-35 years old) who are motivated to support humanitarian aid efforts through hands-on work. Requirements: Completed Humanitarian Aid Training (online + 5-day face-to-face training). Who We Need: Motivated to make a difference.
