Overview
The incumbent will coordinate partnerships activities, conduct analytical work and research to strengthen WFP's positioning with public, private and external partners to attract policy support, resources, technical assistance and innovative solutions in Afghanistan.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement work plans for assigned areas to identify, develop and strengthen partnerships.
- Contribute to a partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling and outreach.
- Use data to present well-researched ideas to expand support from existing partners and scope new partners.
- Collate and assist in the dissemination of political and humanitarian analysis.
- Solicit inputs from other WFP entities to inform partner audiences on WFP’s programmatic offering.
- Collate relevant information and data from media and local internal and external sources.
- Gather and present internal and external data/information using key information systems.
- Contribute to partnerships strategies, including resource mobilization strategies.
- Contribute to preparedness actions, providing technical recommendations and guidance.

Required Experience
- Five (5) years of relevant postgraduate professional-level work experience in partnerships, fundraising, advocacy and communications, marketing, strategy development or other related fields.
- Experience building and managing partnerships, including developing proposals, soliciting input for reports, drafting agreements, producing visibility plans and/or crafting joint strategies.
- Experience drafting proposals and reports, outlining and structuring documents, revising and editing.
- Experience exploring new partnership opportunities, provided inputs into developing solutions with prospective partners and explored new areas to scale up existing activities.
- Experience supporting the creation of external communication and briefing materials.
- Familiarity with resource mobilization processes and resource strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Basic understanding of government and corporate strategies and priorities and experience in developing multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Qualifications
• Advanced University degree in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management or Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience.
