PARCOURS LE MONDE GRAND OUEST Angers, France Volunteer opportunity: Promote Interculturality and international mobility to youth : VEIA "Vivre Ensemble Ici et Ailleurs"
Vivre Ensemble Ici et Ailleurs (VEIA) is a project which aims at promoting intercultural dialogue, mobility, diversity and the SDGs across the Pays de la Loire region of France, directly to French young people. We are hosting around 20 international volunteers from September to July, located throughout the entire Region in high schools, youth centers and small NGOs that work closely with young people. All the volunteers work under the common VEIA mission, and participate together in some intercultural events and regional gatherings. Examples of missions include: - Workshops on citizenship, international solidarity, SDGs... - Language & Intercultural workshops - Information sessions on international mobility for young people - Participating in forums, seminars, summer job fairs… - Participate in the promotion of the experiences of youngsters who have traveled abroad. If you are interested of intercultural context and European mobility, this mission is for you ! Accommodation, food and transport arrangements * Accommodation: Shared or single appartment fully furnished and equiped * Food: The volunteers will have money every month to do their shopping at the supermarket. They will be independent for shopping and cooking. They will have kitchens available in their accommodation. *Local transport: the tutor will help the volunteer in order to benefit from transport at reduced prices throughout their stay. Transport costs related to the mission will be covered. Training during the activity The volunteers will participate in gathering organised by the National Agency (arrival and midterm training) The volunteers will also participate in regional gatherings alltogether organised by the organisation Parcours le Monde: - Training to learn the basic tools of popular education and facilitation - Sharing tools and good practice with professionnals and others volunteers - Creating seminars and events for the local and international youth on the SDG's thematics Participant profile - For some missions, a good level of French is required - Someone who is motivated, curious, and dynamic ! :) - Someone interested in working with young people, sharing its experience, promoting interculturality and international mobility, - If you have specific interests (media, digital tools, european projects...) let us know during the application ! - Speaking French is not a requirement, as you will definitely learn-by-doing
