Overview
Supports the development and preparation of Child Protection Programmes, focusing on strengthening government capacity for legislative reform. Provides strategic guidance and oversight for diversion, restorative justice, and child-friendly legal aid.
Tasks Summary
- Support programme/project development and planning, including situation analysis and proposal formulation.
- Formulate, design, and prepare programme/project proposals aligned with UNICEF Strategic Plans and country priorities.
- Establish goals, objectives, strategies, and implementation plans using results-based planning.
- Provide technical and operational support throughout programming processes.
- Plan and collaborate on monitoring benchmarks and performance indicators.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and programme reviews.
- Prepare and assess monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Monitor programmes/projects through field visits and surveys.
- Monitor and verify the use of programme resources.
- Prepare programme/project reports for management, donors, and partners.
- Provide technical guidance and operational support to government counterparts and partners.
Experience Requirements
Experience in child protection programmes/projects, including legislative, regulatory, and budgetary frameworks. Experience in diversion and restorative justice, and child-friendly legal aid. Experience in management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of child protection outputs.
