Tasks Summary

The project offers a unique chance to join a volunteer team and the IASIS community through engaging activities centered on individuals facing mental health challenges and other vulnerable groups. Volunteers will receive training focusing on clothing reuse, the circular economy, and supporting vulnerable populations, all within an interactive and friendly learning environment. They will collaborate with vulnerable individuals, form teams, and take part in awareness and educational initiatives. A highlight of the project is contributing to the "Celebrate Love" fashion show, which features recycled garments while amplifying the stories of marginalized individuals. This event promotes mental health, social inclusion, and environmental awareness, inspiring the local community. Volunteers will be part of a passionate team committed to social impact and sustainability. The experience offers valuable skills in project management, creative collaboration, and community engagement Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The accommodation is centrally located in the Municipality of Marathon, just a three-minute walk from Marathon Beach. Previously operating as a hotel, the two-story building spans 800 sqm and includes a basement storage area and an expansive outdoor yard of 3,000 sqm. The upper floor comprises 15 double rooms, each equipped with a private bathroom and balcony. Volunteers are provided with comfortable, fully furnished rooms featuring modern amenities. Shared spaces include a well-equipped kitchen, a living room, and a spacious courtyard, ideal for outdoor activities and communal engagement. Training during the activity Participants will engage in workshops and training sessions on mental health, psychosocial rehabilitation, and environmental sustainability, gaining essential knowledge and skills for their roles. The project incorporates an innovative clothing management system addressing social needs and sustainable development, aiming to modernize the circular management of surplus clothing. With a vision of fostering social and ecological consciousness for a Zero Waste future, participants will also collaborate with vulnerable groups, forming teams and contributing to activities that promote awareness. Participant profile 18-30 years old, legal residents of one of the Erasmus+ programme countries, that they do not require visa to enter Greece.Eager to learn or already having the knowledge on how to give non-formal learning activities.Enthusiastic on creating learning activities and social intervention activities.Eager to take initiative and create opportunities for themselves and the society.Finally, willing to share their message to the world through social and visual media channels
