Overview
The Geospatial Analysis Intern will process and analyze geospatial datasets to measure the development impact of infrastructure projects using satellite imagery and other geospatial data. The role involves developing indicators of welfare and economic activity and comparing pre- and post-project conditions.
Tasks Summary
- Process and analyse large geospatial datasets relevant to AIIB project sites
- Conduct geospatial analysis using machine learning and advanced statistical techniques
- Develop indicators of welfare and economic activity from satellite imagery and other sources
- Compare pre- and post-project conditions to assess development impact
- Document methodology and produce visualizations (maps, charts) for research outputs
- Contribute to drafting a research note or report summarizing findings and innovative approaches
Experience Requirements
Proven experience in at least two geospatial data analysis projects
Qualification Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Master’s/MBA or PhD program, preferably in Geospatial Analysis, Data Science, Economics, or related fields
