Overview

Provide coordination and secretarial support to the Education Sector Technical Working Group (Ed-STWG) in Afghanistan. Ensure effective platform functioning for coordination, strategic reporting, and consensus-building for education sector interventions and grants.

Tasks Summary

• Coordinate Ed-STWG membership and governance
• Facilitate, convene, and build consensus among sector partners
• Organize and lead Ed-STWG meetings, drafting agendas, minutes, and action trackers
• Represent Ed-STWG in external meetings
• Support UNICEF's co-leadership role and coordination of GPE and other education resources
• Provide support and guidance to Ed-STWG Technical Working Groups
• Facilitate capacity-building initiatives
• Mentor national and regional coordinators
• Liaise with UNESCO for GPE Local Education Group coordination
• Facilitate GPE grant submissions and reporting
• Maintain communication with Ed-STWG members, donors, and partners
• Ensure dissemination of key information

Experience Requirements

Experience in coordination and secretarial support for technical working groups. Experience in education sector coordination and strategic reporting. Experience in consensus-building efforts. Experience in coordinating education sector interventions and grants. Experience in strengthening partnerships and capacity-building for coordination. Experience in liaison with international organizations and grant agents. Experience in managing communication and information exchanges between various stakeholders.

Work Modality: home-based (with two missions: one to Kabul, Afghanistan, and one to Istanbul or elsewhere for Ed STWG meeting)
