Expression o.z. Spišská Belá, Slovakia Volunteer opportunity: Volunteering in the Youth Center
The main activity of this project is work in the youth centre Face Club. Volunteer will be helpful in all of its activities during opening hours. They will be involved in activities, workshops, creative workshops for children, games of all kinds. Daily work in the “Face Club” comprises: - preparing the space of club for daily work and activities (preparing materials, goods, repairing, cleaning) - preparing activities: children’s work (english days, sport days, creative days, program during holidays etc.), youth work (traveling evenings, film evenings, inspirational evening, English day etc.), - cooperation with our partners as needed, - occasional participation in cultural events (after mutual agreement), - participation in projects, activities and events organized by Expression o. z. Infopack: https://www.canva.com/design/DAG5IaNy-y0/XuEIA3j7FbfI6AapdeheLA/edit?utm_content=DAG5IaNy-y0&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accomodation - we provide accommodation in a flat near to Face Club, volunteer can have his own room or shared with other volunteer (will depend on number of volunteers), fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, wifi. Food - every month you receive pocket money plus money for food - so you master your money. Transport - with the volunteer we will find the appropriate mode of transport to Slovakia. During EVS we can provide a bicycle for less transport, but it is not necessary within the city. Training during the activity Volunteers will participate in on-arrival and mid-term training organized by the Slovak National Agency. Besides that they can participate in our trainings for youth - self development. And of course, they will have slovak lessons. Participant profile In this project, we are looking for someone who likes to work with kids and young people and is ready for new challenges. He/she should be enthusiastic and openminded and interested in growing their personal and professional skills. Experience in work with children and youth is an advantage, but not necessary. Required qualities include: flexibility, creativity, empathy, interest in sports, art and games, sense for responsibility and good communication level in English.
