National Information Management Officer

Overview

The role is responsible for the compilation of data, information analysis, and report designing within a specific project framework.


Tasks Summary
  • Support development of a data management system with collection, storage, and sharing workflows
  • Collect, analyse, and present data for project reporting, including report design and data visualization using Tableau
  • Supervise information management staff
  • Implement information management activities in accordance with ITC Policies and Standards
  • Support regional ECHO project data management systems
  • Engage with stakeholders for data collection and information relevance
  • Create visually engaging infographics
  • Support effective project implementation and monitoring
  • Prepare project status and progress reports
  • Generate local level information products and support dissemination
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Identify data gaps and contribute to project proposals
  • Apply IOM's data protection principles

Experience Requirements
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree
  • Proven experience on the use of Data Analysis tools, such as Power Bi, Tableau Software
  • Experience in Information Management, management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analysing data to generate information products
  • Expertise in graphic design software and cutting-edge technologies
  • Knowledge of infographics programs such as info.gram, Canva, etc. is an asset
  • Excellent design skills, including typography, layout, color theory
  • Demonstrated experience skillfully using presentation software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Keynote
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest technological developments in information technology and information systems
  • Proven skills to analyse statistical information
  • Ability to formulate JM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures
  • Ability to translate planning-specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis, and vice versa
  • Ability to compile and holistically analyse diverse datasets
  • Experience with handling confidential data
  • Demonstrated team-building and information management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies
  • Experience in advanced data visualization and information design skills
  • Experience in collaborating with government entities or other relevant stakeholders in data management

Qualification Requirements
  • Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Media or Social Sciences or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
  • University degree in the above fields
