Overview
Support the Chief of Mission in ensuring coherence and effective implementation of IOM Zimbabwe Programmes, aligning with the country's strategy and stakeholder expectations. Coordinate partnerships, identify new programme opportunities, and contribute to resource mobilization.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in formulating country strategies and developing new programmes.
- Coordinate national programme implementation and monitor activities.
- Promote convergence between units for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze migration issues and recommend actions to the CoM.
- Coordinate humanitarian response programming during disasters.
- Facilitate knowledge building and management, identifying best practices.
- Build and maintain communications with key programme stakeholders.
- Liaise with counterparts to advance programme development and objectives.
- Identify programme opportunities and draft project proposals.
- Represent IOM in UN and inter-agency bodies and donor meetings.
