Overview
This role provides assistance to the Development Team by supporting stakeholder engagement through event organization, communications planning, and business development projects. The intern will contribute to community involvement and the production of materials supporting the IRC's work.
Tasks Summary
- Support planning of fundraising events including social media strategy, outreach, material production, sponsorship research, and ticket sales
- Brainstorm and create outreach plans and content for new community partners and university contacts
- Manage IRC webpages and social media for current information
- Aid in content collection and storytelling for web and social media
- Transcribe client interviews and gather content for social media
- Assist in securing in-kind donations
- Provide administrative support including data entry and producing acknowledgments
- Participate in weekly Development Team meetings and bi-weekly staff meetings
Experience Requirements
- Experience in graphic design or Canva a plus
- Experience in event planning, sales or marketing, or managing social media a plus
Qualification Requirements
Currently in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or graduated within one year, preferably event planning, marketing, communications or related area of study
