Overview

Responsible and accountable for supply chain activities, guided by Supply Chain Management objectives to deliver quality goods/services to beneficiaries at optimal price and in a timely manner.


Tasks Summary
  • Contribute to strategic planning for supply chain activities
  • Conduct logistics capacity assessment and market research
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain management tasks and activities
  • Contribute to the management of supply chain activities including planning, procurement, warehouse management, transport, distribution, fleet, assets and facilities management
  • Identify supply chain bottlenecks and propose process optimization
  • Contribute to the review of procurement requests and vendor performance evaluation
  • Solicit bids, quotations and tender documents, oversee bidding process and support procurement transactions
  • Liaise with programme management and provide technical support for tendering processes
  • Ensure timely submission of asset, procurement and other reports
  • Contribute to the establishment and management of internal control mechanisms for Supply Chain Management
  • Support and monitor the maintenance and repair of office facilities
  • Provide training and guidance to SCM staff
  • Participate in UN inter-agency meetings and forums related to supply chain management

Experience Requirements
  • Experience in supply chain activities
  • Experience in logistics capacity assessment
  • Experience in market research
  • Experience in planning, procurement, warehouse management, transport, distribution, fleet, assets and facilities management
  • Experience in identifying supply chain bottlenecks
  • Experience in vendor performance evaluation
  • Experience in soliciting bids, quotations and tender documents
  • Experience in supporting procurement transactions
  • Experience in providing technical support for tendering processes
  • Experience in establishing and managing internal control mechanisms for Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of office facilities
  • Experience in training and guidance to SCM staff
  • Experience in UN inter-agency meetings and forums related to supply chain management

Qualification Requirements

• Master's degree

Other Details

Languages Preferred: English

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
