Overview
Support the implementation of emergency and resilience WASH activities to alleviate suffering of vulnerable populations affected by ongoing conflict in Syria. This includes supporting the development and guidance of PHE Assistants in assessment, implementation, planning, supervision of construction works, preparing BoQ and assisting the project manager in contract management.
Tasks Summary
- Support Oxfam Syria programme in the implementation of emergency & resilience WASH activities
- Guide PHE Assistants in assessment, implementation & planning
- Supervise construction works
- Prepare BoQ
- Assist the project manager in contract management
Experience Requirements
- 4 years or more practical Engineering experience in WASH projects (Sanitary, Water Network Rehabilitation, WASH in school and water pumping stations Projects)
- Not less than 3 years previous work experience with LNGOs/INGOs in WASH field
- Strong and tested technical project management skills, including risk management
- Financial management ability and value for money achievement
- Good demonstrable understanding of PHE technical knowledge (practical knowledge of AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Google Earth, EPANET, MS Office suite and water modelling software)
- Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams in the field
Qualification Requirements
• University degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university
