Overview
The ER WASH Officer is responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the production of high-quality, timely, and compliant reports for the WASH sector programme. The role supports the delivery of WASH activities in the field to affected people.
Tasks Summary
- Support WASH delivery of activities, including with partners, youth groups, and communities
- Support project planning and implementation stages, including development of supporting documents and updating internal systems
- Establish coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders, local government, partner networks, and communities
- Support project monitoring, evaluation, and research
- Lead in the project closing stage, ensuring sustainability plans and scale-up strategies are implemented
- Ensure GEDSI and safeguarding approaches are mainstreamed
- Support monitoring visits and facilitate discussions between teams, donors, stakeholders, and partners
- Maintain communication with partners, MER, and teams on WASH project planning and implementation
- Support monitoring of ER WASH progress using a monitoring dashboard and expenditure
- Support the development of progress reports for internal Plan
- Support the development of high-quality WASH data and information for various stakeholders
- Support the communications team to disseminate project-related communications strategy
- Support establishing external networks, including youth networks or alliances
- Support partnership assessment and capacity assessment for partners
- Maintain and expand relationships with WASH stakeholders
- Support the development and implementation of the WASH advocacy agenda and campaign
- Manage budget and PC in Plan’s system (SAP)
- Lead and support project administration work
- Support follow-up action of AAL audit
- Ensure Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Program Participant and Gender Equality and Inclusion are embedded in project design and implementation
- Participate in capacity-building and learning events on Safeguarding and GEDSI
- Submit required documentation for policy, standards, and approach on Safeguarding and GEDSI
- Understand and practice responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEDSI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct
Experience Requirements
- Experience in leading, coordinating, and ensuring the production of high-quality, timely, and compliant reports of WASH sector programme
- Experience supporting WASH progress and reports are accurate, evidence-based, coherent, and aligned with donor requirements and organisational standards
- Experience supporting accountability, learning, and strategic decision-making
- Experience contributing to delivery WASH activities on the field, directly to the affected people
- Experience working closely with ER team, MER, finance, and communications teams
- Experience ensuring that the delivery of WASH activities adhere to accountability to the affected people (AAP) principles
- Experience ensuring that the organisation’s position as humanitarian organization is delivered on the ground and clearly demonstrated, understood, and valued by external and internal audiences
