Overview

Support the implementation of projects and programmes under the MMU Unit and contribute to the sustainability of IOM’s strategic position with Italian and EU donors.

Tasks Summary

• Lead and coordinate project implementation
• Monitor implementation and analyse difficulties
• Provide technical support for migration management processes
• Collaborate with IOM Missions in the Mediterranean Region
• Provide technical and administrative support for MFA Migration and Premialità funds
• Coordinate with PPSU for alignment of MMU actions
• Support compilation and data collection on migratory trends
• Monitor project budget expenditures
• Participate in meetings and conferences
• Coordinate preparation of reports
• Supervise and provide guidance to reporting staff

Experience Requirements

• Seven years of professional experience with a High School diploma; or five years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree
• Experience supporting implementation, reporting and monitoring activities
• Familiarity with the Italian local context, including migration policy, economy, culture, language, and Italian Institutions
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups
• Experience working in a humanitarian context and multi-cultural setting
• Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)

Qualification Requirements

• High School diploma; or
• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution

Languages Preferred: French and Spanish

Contract Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
