Overview
The contractor will support the implementation of a project focused on enhancing regional and global value chain participation of Central Asian countries and provide support for capacity building on trade facilitation and the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA).
Tasks Summary
- Support preparation of trade briefs
- Provide drafting inputs for knowledge products
- Ensure consistency of programming codes for trade databases
- Support finalization of database and tools
- Support delivery of training materials
- Support preparation of project termination report and evaluation
- Conduct research on nowcasting techniques for trade and value chain integration analysis
- Conduct research for extended features of value chain integration tool for impact analysis
- Conduct research for integrating automated features to digital integration tool
- Deliver materials and manage application services for digital trade capacity building in North Central Asia and APTA
Experience Requirements
At least three years of experience in data analysis, programming, and database management for economic and trade policy research of Asian countries
Qualification Requirements
- Master degree (or higher) in economics, international economics and/or development economics
- Having some academic or research experience in economics and development
