Tasks Summary

• In a teamwork with TOTEM employees, the volunteers will plan and carry out projects and activities targeting the group of active seniors. On their own they will lead educational conversation classes of their native language or other spoken languages, and as well, within the working range of TOTEM, projects of their individual interests. The volunteers can actively participate in any educational, cultural or physical activity, as well in community clubs and various workshops in TOTEM and contribute something on their own correlating with core ideas of the organization. The organization provides cooperation in other multigenerational projects and involvement in various institutions focused on other target groups – e.g. work with children, young people. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteering activity lasts for 12 months 1.9.2026 - 31.8.2027. General working time is 35 hours per week. The volunteer receives monthly pocket money and food allowance, accommodation in the centre and a mentor as a guide for the duration of the volunteering activity. The volunteer gets 25 days of vacation/a year (2-day vacation/month). Eligible applicants for this project are people at the age of 18 – 25. We reimburse the costs of travelling to Pilsen and back at the beginning and at the end of the project. As for the local transport, we provide the Pilsen Card (unlimited use). Training during the activity During your ESC in TOTEM you will be able to... ...work not only with seniors but also with children, teenagers and students. ...adapt to work in a big team and to learn about the structures in a middle-size organisation. ...organize your ESC according to your preferences and interests: to join and get active in clubs and groups that speak to you. ...be a spokesperson for volunteering in general. In TOTEM you will have the chance to: - lead language conversation classes on your own. - get motivated and try out something new. - develop unique relationships with clients Participant profile Advantage of an applicant may be:

• motivation to learn Czech and get to know Czech culture

• communicative and open-minded personality!
• person who likes dancing! :)
