Tasks Summary

This ESC volunteering programme offers a short/long-term immersive experience in permaculture-based living, homesteading skills and community life. Volunteers support the daily activities of an eco-centre and community garden while participating in a practical lifestyle training focused on self-sufficiency, sustainability and local living. The programme is based on learning by doing and learning by living ESC Volunteering Activities: Main Structure of the Programme - The volunteering experience consists of two interconnected parts Volunteers will: assist in environmental education programmes for schools, kindergartens, homeschoolers, support the daily operation of the eco-centre and community garden - gardening jobs, grass cutting, cleaning help with events, courses, workshops and visitor programmes, cooperate with staff, local community members and other volunteers. more info: https://www.united-vision.org/blog/causes/keen-on-green/ Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Accommodation is provided right in the eco-adventure center Divočina. Volunteers each have their own private room and shared bathroom. The kitchen is shared with all the people in the center who cook vegetarian dishes together. Internet is available, as well as bicycles for commuting around the city. In case of commuting to a greater distance, the volunteer is reimbursed the fare. Training during the activity Join our 2–4 month program to master permaculture and self-sufficiency. You will practice permaculture gardening, food processing (bread, fermenting, food conservation), and DIY crafts while managing an eco-center within an international team. The experience includes community events and local economy insights. To support your growth, the Czech National Agency provides official On-arrival and Mid-term trainings. Upon project completion, you will receive a Youthpass certificate to validate your new skills and non-formal learning. Participant profile Most of the activities in the center take place outside and with people. The opportunity is therefore ideal for social people who like to spend time outdoors, in nature, with people of all ages and children. Furthermore for people interested in permaculture, community garden, natural architecture or ecological practices. We welcome everyone with team spirit, empathy, autonomy, flexibility, responsibility, patience, respect for different cultures and traditions, openness and willingness to learn new things.
