Overview

Support the planning and delivery of IT projects, acting as a liaison for internal clients and contributing to portfolio management.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the planning and delivery of IT projects.
  • Facilitate workshops and consultations with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements for IT solutions.
  • Contribute to portfolio management by maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Act as a liaison for internal clients, ensuring that IMTS’ efforts align with operational needs.
  • Support the Chief of Section with any other related duties, as required.
Experience Requirements
  • APPLICANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAMME.
  • Be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Be interested in project-based work, management consulting, or organizational development; demonstrated experience in project management and/or project-based ways of working, especially in the context of software development, is a plus.
  • Possess strong analytical and communication skills to turn complex challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations, and adaptable to new tools.
  • Thrive in a multicultural, mission-driven environment with a collaborative mindset.
Qualification Requirements
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first-level university degree programme programme (i.e. Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree);
  • be enrolled in a graduate school programme (i.e. Master's degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or have completed an aforementioned academic degree, preferably in the area of international relations, busiiness and/or information Management, and, if selected, must commence the internship on the date indicated in the Acceptance letter.
Other Details

Languages Required: fluency in English is required

Languages Preferred: working knowledge of the other is an asset

Contract Duration: 3-6 Months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
