This internship supports social innovation for long-term sustainability within the Beyond Lab at the United Nations Office at Geneva. The role involves research, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct research on sustainable development concepts and trends
• Contribute to policy and programming discussions
• Assist in synthesizing research for briefing materials and reports
• Support project management activities and initiative implementation
• Organize and facilitate events and workshops
• Prepare narrative reports for partners
• Identify opportunities for social innovation strategies
• Plan and facilitate team ideation sessions
• Support development of promotional materials and content
• Draft and edit content for website and social media
• Create visuals and graphics using tools like Canva
• Participate in meetings with key partners and stakeholders
• Assist in partnership-building efforts

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. A field of study closely related to the internship is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)

Languages Required: English

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
