Overview

The European Commission is seeking a Legal and Policy Officer to contribute to the development and execution of recruitment and mobility policies and initiatives within Directorate HR.B.

Tasks Summary

• - Provide advice and input on files related to the Directorate's area of responsibility.
• - Ensure coordination of policy development in recruitment and mobility.
• - Anticipate and prioritise files and issues submitted to the Director.
• - Deliver timely results including analysis, briefings, notes, and reports.
• - Ensure coordination of tasks involving multiple units within the Directorate and with other Directorates.

Experience Requirements

At least two years of proven experience in DG HR’s policies.

Qualification Requirements

At least a level of education corresponding to completed university studies of at least 3 years attested by a diploma. Qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities will be accepted.

Other Details

Languages Required: Thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU AND satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Work Modality: Possibility of teleworking

Remuneration: The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The European Commission applies a tax raised by those institutions.
