Overview
The MEAL Officer will be responsible for designing, strengthening, and managing the MEAL system, monitoring project implementation, and managing beneficiary feedback and accountability systems.
Tasks Summary
- Support in designing, improvement, and operationalization of the MEAL system.
- Develop baseline and end-line assessment tools and methodologies.
- Design and manage databases with Information Management Officer.
- Independently develop MEAL plans and review/update on a regular basis.
- Monitor the implementation of response activities.
- Leads on analytical processes, including vulnerability analysis, post-distribution monitoring, M&E reporting.
- Maintain projects reporting, MEAL tools, tracking and reporting forms.
- Plan and develop processes for qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Manage complaint and feedback mechanism for the projects.
- Ensure that accountability indicators and standards are integrated into plans and operations.
- Provide support and training for other staff on accountability.
- Plan and coordinate project learning and reviews, evaluations.
- Conduct quality control tests on all incoming data and supervise data entry and data cleaning/editing processes.
- Collect timely top-line output data from all projects.
- Analyse projects data to produce information as required by the project.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of humanitarian experience in a similar function.
- Previous experience of working on programmes such as WASH, Livelihood, Protection and Gender is preferable.
Qualification Requirements
- University Degree in relevant field development studies, data sciences, economics and relevant years of experience at this level with International Agencies or NGOs.
- Advanced computer literacy in office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
- Knowledge of M&E, and statistics tools (SCTO toolbox, STATA, SPSS etc)
