Overview
The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Innovation Specialist will provide technical guidance to support the conceptualization and implementation of the WomenX Collective strategy and approach, focusing on building impactful and scalable solutions for women's health.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical guidance for the WomenX Collective strategy and approach.
- Support building the pipeline of impactful and scalable solutions for women's health.
- Formulate forward-thinking strategies and assess emerging SRH innovations and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance for implementing innovative solutions and national capacity building.
- Support the design and implementation of calls for proposals and selection processes.
- Oversee pilot and ready-to-scale projects, evaluating feasibility and effectiveness.
- Contribute to strategic planning, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of quality standards and guidelines for SRH innovations.
- Support monitoring and evaluation frameworks and report progress to stakeholders.
- Disseminate knowledge and best practices within the ecosystem.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions in sexual and reproductive and maternal health or related fields at national and international level is required.
- Experience in programme/project management including experience designing and appraising proposals and actively liaising with relevant and potential project partners.
- Experience in managing projects from conception to implementation.
- Field experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with the UN system is desirable.
- Familiarity with Innovation Portfolio Management and understanding of applying human-centered design and design thinking.
- Strong skills in report writing, communications, and presentation to diverse, technical, and non-technical audiences.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members from different national and cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology and their application in SRH programs and public health in general.
- Understanding of ethical considerations related to SRH and the ability to navigate sensitive issues with diplomacy.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Initiative, good conceptual abilities, sound judgment, strong interest in development work, especially the mission of the United Nations Population Fund and dedication to the principles of the United Nations.
Qualification Requirements
An advanced university degree in public health, medicine, social sciences, public health epidemiology and related areas is required.
