Overview
The Senior Accounting Assistant will analyze complex investment accounting transactions and post-trade issues, reconcile trades, audit static data, and prepare reports. The role involves providing guidance and responding to queries.
Tasks Summary
- Analyses complex and/or unusual investment accounting transactions and difficult post trade pre-settlement issues.
- Reviews and reconciles end-of-day trades.
- Audits and monitors changes to various static data set-up related to investment transactions.
- Reviews completeness of trade confirmation, trade summary reports and consolidates the accounts.
- Prepares worksheets and analyze corporate action events.
- Provides guidance and training to general service staff and colleagues.
- Drafts/prepares memoranda and responds to queries.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data information related to corporate action events.
- Supervises other general service staff when required.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of ten years of experience in accounting, finance or related area is required. Experience in post trade investment operations functions using trade order management system is desirable. Experience using post trade matching platforms is desirable. Experience using a global custodian is desirable. Experience in corporate action processing is desirable. One year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
