Overview

The Supply Chain Data Scientist role involves developing data science solutions for supply chain planning, optimization, and operational analytics to support data-driven decision-making for operations management.

Tasks Summary

• Support the maintenance and development of core Supply Chain Planning & Optimization tools.
• Support the application, rollout, and configuration of analytical solutions to new operations.
• Develop and maintain new solutions leveraging data transformation, visualization, statistics, machine learning, and optimization algorithms.
• Deep-dive on business requirements to understand data availability and evaluate optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with the Technology division for compliance and best practices.
• Prepare quantitative analyses to support operational and strategic decision making.
• Enable the adoption of best practices and advanced analytics, and strengthen client staff capacity.

Experience Requirements

• Level I Consultancy: At least three years of relevant professional experience.
• Level II Consultancy: At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in using analytics to support operations management is required.
• Experience with developing analytical solutions is required.
• Experience with software-development is required.

Qualification Requirements

Advanced university degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related fields.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluent in oral and written English and have technical writing skills.

Languages Preferred: Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, French, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese is desirable.
