Overview

The Communication and Knowledge Management Intern will support knowledge management and the development of communication materials for the Rule of Law, Human Rights, Justice, and Security unit. The role aims to promote key areas of the team's work and assist in communication of the regional Community of Practice.


Tasks Summary
  • Track viewership and engagement levels on multiple platforms.
  • Produce communication and advocacy instruments and materials and organise awareness-raising campaigns.
  • Coordinate and support communication activities across countries.
  • Develop short- and long-term communication plans.
  • Oversee all communication-related activities of projects under RoLHR unit.
  • Assist in arranging logistics, preparing agenda and coordinating with related stakeholders for organizing workshops.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the project’s knowledge management repository.
  • Support data collection and analysis on websites, social media and other communication channels.
  • Support the regional Community of Practice of the Governance, Rule of Law, and Peacebuilding Hub.
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Support any other relevant tasks as identified by the supervisor and the RoLHR team.

Experience Requirements

Proven thematic knowledge on Rule of Law and Human Rights in Asia is considered an asset.


Qualification Requirements
  • Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree; or
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree; or
  • Have graduated no longer than 1 year from a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent studies; Field of study: Communication, Journalism, International Development, Law, Political Science, Sociology, or other related fields in Social Sciences or Humanities. Knowledge and proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Sway, Airtable or any other data visualization tools. Experience in video editing is a plus.

Languages Required: English

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Remuneration: • Monthly stipend in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP internship policy (as reference, the stipend for 2025 is set at THB 8,302.50 per month; the stipend amount for 2026 is subject to change).
