Overview

The National GEDSI, Community Engagement and Inclusion Specialist will support the full project development for a project concept on restoring degraded landscapes and strengthening biodiversity-friendly agrifood systems in Timor-Leste.

Tasks Summary
  • Work with the PPG team to support stakeholder engagement needs.
  • Support the development of the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP).
  • Establish relationships with stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing and running stakeholder engagement activities and consultations.
  • Operate tools and systems to manage stakeholder outreach.
  • Ensure timely response to stakeholder requests.
  • Coordinate PPG stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Provide additional support as required.
  • Compile a gender analysis.
  • Develop a Gender Action Plan (GAP).
  • Organize and lead gender-focus working groups.
  • Support the drafting of ProDoc sections relevant to gender.
  • Ensure gender considerations are mainstreamed.
  • Identify negative implications/risks and provide mitigation solutions.
  • Compile and analyze data on ethnic minorities.
  • Draft a section for the ProDoc summarizing the analysis of ethnic minorities.
  • Develop an engagement plan.
Experience Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in facilitating participatory processes of stakeholder engagement and learning stakeholder engagement or community development.

Qualification Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as community development, education, public administration, or other relevant qualification. Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Working knowledge of English and Tetun, both written and spoken.
