Overview
The Consultant (Coordinator) will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of activities related to the 'Promoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integration' project, focusing on the preparation of local action plans.
Tasks Summary
- Manage the overall coordination and implementation of activities.
- Develop a comprehensive guideline for the preparation of local action plans.
- Prepare standardized text for specific sections of action plans.
- Develop guiding instructions for field teams.
- Coordinate the process of preparing local action plans.
- Ensure local action plans are responsive and aligned with a centralized framework.
- Review action plans prepared by field teams and provide feedback.
- Ensure coordination with PMM and IOM and obtain approvals.
- Ensure consistency of methodologies and tools used by field experts.
- Coordinate the submission of all draft reports and documents to IOM.
- Supervise the overall implementation and create technical frameworks.
- Lead and contribute to the preparation of key technical documents.
- Provide regular technical support to field experts.
- Ensure technical oversight and quality control of outputs.
- Review and approve all draft reports submitted by field experts.
- Coordinate the communication and approval process.
- Hold coordination meetings with the field team.
- Conduct technical review meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in migration studies, development studies, social cohesion policies or related areas.
- In-depth knowledge of migration and social cohesion topics at the local, national and international levels.
- In-depth knowledge of the functions of governmental and civil society organizations at the local, national and international levels.
- Professional experience in working with academics and relevant public institutions.
- Previous work experience with the Presidency of Migration Management, Provincial Directorates of Migration Management, and/or Governorates (Provincial Authorities) is an asset.
- Experience in designing technical framework for action plans, field research or other policy documents, qualitative and quantitative data analysis and workshops.
- Experience in the United Nations System is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
- Academic degree in Migration Studies, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field.
- A doctoral degree in the above-mentioned fields will be considered an advantage.
