Overview

Support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. Compile, analyze, and present project information, and act as a focal point for administrative coordination.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  • Compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Draft status reports and correspondence on project issues.
  • Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Respond to complex information requests and maintain files/records.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
  • Monitor work of implementing partners.
  • Provide inputs for SOPs and concept papers.
  • Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating/monitoring work of other staff.
  • Drive official IOM vehicles as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • Six years of relevant experience with a school diploma; or
  • Four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
  • School diploma; or
  • Bachelor's degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) is required.

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge in English (desirable).

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
