Overview

The Senior ICT Officer (Global Infrastructure and Security Operations) will be responsible for global IOM infrastructure and oversee the design, implementation, and management of the Global IT infrastructure ecosystem, ensuring efficiency in service delivery to the missions.

Tasks Summary
  • Execute the ICT strategic vision for the organization's global IT infrastructure.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and consultants.
  • Maintain stable enterprise WAN and ensure connectivity across IOM.
  • Oversee on-premises data center operations including disaster preparedness and recovery.
  • Oversee day-to-day infrastructure and security operations, including system monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Enforce operational best practices, security protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Develop an infrastructure tool to enable ease of determining equipment deployed in each IOM location.
  • Develop procedures to monitor the IOM WAN and provide monthly reports on network stability.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of incident response plans.
  • Oversee coordination with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
  • Oversee the configuration change management process.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation on standard operating procedures, system configurations, and technical settings.
  • Provide oversight for vulnerability and patch management.
  • Provide infrastructure hardening and security baseline for all infrastructure.
  • Oversee compliance to corporate policy regarding global infrastructure.
  • Provide user account life cycle management.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of identity and access management technologies and solutions.
  • Assist in efficiency improvements by recommending process changes and developing solutions to automate repeatable tasks for Identity Access Management (IAM).
  • Support the enrollment of Multifactor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-on (SSO) and oversee the development and deployment of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
  • Generate monthly reports to perform in-depth analysis and data collection for issues associated with IAM.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years proven and demonstrable and progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on operations and supervising skilled IT professionals, engineers and technologists;
  • Eight year experience in IT Infrastructure and Security enterprise architecture would be an added advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability in managing diverse teams of IT professionals working in hybrid format of remote and in-office is a basic requirement;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships;
  • Knowledge of incident, change and configuration management as applied to IT Service Management.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field from an accredited academic institution with seven years of relevant professional experience; or University degree in the above fields with nine years of relevant professional experience; or Relevant technical certifications combined with a minimum of 10 years’ experience with IT infrastructure (systems and networks) may be accepted in place of an advanced university degree.

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Enterprise
  • Cisco Certified Specialist – Enterprise SDWAN Implementation
  • Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • NIST Cyber Security Framework 2.0 Lead Implementer
  • ITIL 4 Foundation – will be an added advantage
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals – will be an added advantage
  • Microsoft Certified: Office 365 Fundementals – will be an added advantage
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of an official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
