Overview

Support and coordinate the development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of migration management interventions in FSM, RMI, and Palau. The role involves project management, stakeholder collaboration, and contributing to new programme development.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the implementation of migration management projects including policy development, port of entry preparedness, and migrant protection.
  • Coordinate staff, consultants, and partners involved in migration management activities.
  • Collaborate with government entities, donors, UN agencies, and civil society.
  • Draft progress and other reports.
  • Analyze migration trends and identify funding opportunities.
  • Contribute to programme development and draft project proposals.
  • Facilitate information management and promote IOM’s visibility.
  • Coordinate with regional project managers and share lessons learned.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, and technical working groups.
  • Participate in UN working groups to mainstream migration issues.
Experience Requirements
  • Master’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience; or Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in programme management, implementation, and project development.
  • Experience in coordinating projects.
  • Experience in liaising with government authorities and national/international institutions.
  • Experience in emergency settings with knowledge of IOM/UN programme/project life cycles.
  • Experience with UN and International Agencies, international or local NGOs preferred.
  • Work experience in the Region is an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master’s degree in law, International Relations, Political or Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
