Medicos del Mundo Asociacion Médicos del Mundo Volunteer opportunity: Administrative Volunteer with Médicos del Mundo in Bolivia (La Paz)
MdM has extensive experience in interventions focusing on the universal right to health, human rights-based gender and special attention to vulnerable groups. The purpose of the position is to support the achievement of actions ensuring the adequate administrative-accounting performance of MdM in Bolivia. The tasks of the volunteer in Bolivia would be the following: - Support in the accounting records of SAAP and POSTBACK headquarters. - Accounting follow-up. - Preparation of project justification documentation to funding entities. - Budget monitoring of projects. - Preparation of economic reports. - Support in audit processes. - Support in project formulations. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteer will reside in the city of La Paz, where Médicos del Mundo's main office is located, from where, according to the established schedule, he or she will travel to the intervention areas of the projects being carried out (department of Pando and Santa Cruz). Accommodation, return flights, visa and vaccination costs, health insurance and basic equipment (laptops and telephone) will be provided during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will be provided for all work-related travel. The volunteer will also receive a monthly allowance of 640 € for their personal expenses. Training during the activity Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support, etc. and will be provided with online training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings and training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as a specific online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and the host organisation. Participant profile - Bachelor's degree in economics, administración, public accounting or related fields. - Work skills in multicultural environments. - Strategic Vision, Leadership, Teamwork, Collaboration and Resistance to stress. - Financial and Technical Project Management and Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning. - Office Pack (Word, Excel) and Internet. - Experience in International Cooperation would be an asset. - Experience in similar functions would be an asset. - Good level of Spanish. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
