Overview
The role involves providing operational finance support to implementing units and overseeing a large grants portfolio. The Finance Specialist will collaborate with programmatic teams on finance and grants management tasks.
Tasks Summary
- Lead and coordinate budget revisions and preparation of financial reports in close collaboration with HQ project teams and finance counterparts in country operations and regional offices
- Control booked transactions across the grant portfolio designated to the position
- Support the budgeting processes for the designated organisational areas (grants/projects budgets and annual budgets)
- Provide analysis of financial information related to the designated organisational areas
- In close cooperation with Operational Managers reinforce existing procedures and systems for financial management and control in compliance with guidelines of DRC’s Operations Handbook, internal guidelines and donor requirements
Experience Requirements
- Experience in generating management reports and supporting budget development for senior management teams
- Solid financial management background, preferably from an international humanitarian or development organisation
- Exposure to donor financial reporting requirements
- Experience with using ERP systems
Qualification Requirements
At least a bachelor’s degree in relevant field, namely business administration, finance, etc.
