Overview
The Field Project Coordination Associate will support programme delivery by monitoring project milestones, ensuring quality and accountability of implementation, and advising on improvements. The role involves close collaboration with country office staff, external partners, and agency counterparts.
Tasks Summary
- Conducting programme monitoring for various activities including cash and kit distribution, mobile outreach clinics, and GBV safety verifications.
- Performing spot checks and basic compliance monitoring of partner activities.
- Supporting capacity development activities by preparing training materials and participating in exercises.
- Assisting in training local partners and staff on programme procedures, monitoring tools, and reporting standards.
- Coordinating with Implementing Partners and other counterparts on progress and follow-up on planned activities.
- Preparing and conducting monitoring visits and triangulating information from implementing partners.
- Organizing coordination meetings with community leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders during field visits.
- Preparing monitoring and reporting information for supervisor and team on agreed performance indicators.
- Supporting the field-level implementation of humanitarian interventions, including SRH and GBV response activities.
- Supporting district and divisional-level coordination by liaising with various secretariats, authorities, and ministries.
- Participating in coordination meetings and providing updates and recommendations.
- Supporting the planning and facilitation of field missions, assessments, distributions, and community consultations.
- Assisting in rapid needs assessments and post-distribution monitoring.
- Supporting Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) by observing feedback and complaints mechanisms.
- Documenting lessons learned, good practices, and implementation challenges.
- Sharing weekly advance programme updates and providing regular written and verbal updates on field implementation status.
Experience Requirements
- Six years of relevant experience with Secondary Level Education (G.C.E. Advanced Level or High School Diploma).
- Three years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in development studies, humanitarian affairs, international relations or other relevant subjects.
- Strong experience in humanitarian or development program implementation at national or field level is required.
- Knowledge of project administration, programme/project operations, monitoring and evaluation processes are an asset.
