Overview

This consultancy aims to strengthen and support the effectiveness and consistency of the Way of Working (WoW) by supporting the implementation and coordination of WoW-related processes across the IFRC network.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the development, tracking, and use of WoW KPIs, contributing to monitoring and progress reporting.
  • Map and regularly update WoW progress in focus countries using agreed monitoring systems.
  • Maintain information management tools (dashboards, trackers) to support analysis and decision-making.
  • Coordinate follow-up on key meetings and engagements, including action tracking and documentation.
  • Support peer learning and exchange, including coordination of the WoW Community of Practice.
  • Develop case studies, lessons learned, and promising practices from WoW implementation.
  • Consolidate and streamline WoW learning materials.
  • Propose learning and reflection tools that support adaptive implementation.
  • Prepare WoW communication and learning products.
  • Contribute to documentation of key outcomes, lessons, and recommendations.
  • Provide coordination and technical support to country and regional teams in the Americas.
  • Support tracking of follow-up actions with National Societies and delegations.
  • Flag emerging challenges, risks, and good practices from countries.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience working with or within a Red Cross or Red Crescent National Society, ideally with involvement in National Society Development (NSD), membership coordination, or branch-level engagement.
  • Experience working across global and/or regional coordination settings, particularly in the Americas.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging directly with National Societies on planning, coordination or implementation processes.
Qualification Requirements
  • University degree in international relations, social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in project management or humanitarian coordination are an asset.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is essential.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of French and/or Arabic is a strong asset.

Contract Duration: A total of 200 working days from February to December 2026

Work Modality: The consultancy will be primarily home-based. Travel may be required on an ad hoc basis.
