Public Partnership Intern, PPD Asia-Pacific Pillar Office in Tokyo

Overview

The intern will acquire practical experience in the Public Partnerships Division Asia-Pacific Pillar Office in Tokyo by supporting quality assurance, analysis/research, communication, and administrative tasks related to resource mobilization with the Government of Japan.

Tasks Summary

Support the review and analysis of donor proposals and reports.
Support analyses of Japan’s ODA for children.
Support translation, report writing, and preparation of Japan-related documents and presentation materials.
Support efforts to enhance donor visibility through translation and production of visibility content.
Support UNICEF’s advocacy messages by gathering and organizing information.
Update and improve the Tokyo office’s website.
Provide logistical and administrative support for advocacy events, consultations, and workshops.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Experience Requirements

Professional experiences are desirable.
Experience and/or knowledge on international cooperation, humanitarian and development assistance and human security are desirable.
Working experience in project formulation/report writing are desirable.
Experience of translating communication materials is highly desirable.
Experience in public relations and/or event management is an asset.
Experience in website management and video editing are an asset.

Qualification Requirements

Currently enrolled in a university or a graduate school or those who graduated from schools within two years.
Ability to work with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work with advanced level of MS platforms such as Forms, Power BI with analytical data management skills will be an asset.

Other Details

Languages Required: A high level of proficiency in both written and oral languages of English and Japanese is required.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: Between February 2026 - January 2027 (more than 3 months, up to 6 months)

Work Modality: Hybrid work modality (combination of working in the office/teleworking)

Remuneration: Lump sum of JPY 5,500/day, inclusive of transport costs.
