Overview

The Project Coordinator will provide technical and operational support for agriculture, food security, and climate change related projects in Libya, collaborating with government partners and stakeholders to implement, monitor, and report on development projects.

Tasks Summary

• Coordinate the implementation of all project activities, developing action plans and reporting progress.
• Ensure project results are produced to the required standard of quality, within specified constraints of time and cost.
• Coordinate and solicit participation of all concerned parties, contributors, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
• Prepare regular planning and progress reports, identifying bottlenecks and suggesting corrective measures.
• Contribute to and/or prepare and submit projects’ Work Plans and other progress reports.
• Review consultants’ reports, including their content and format.
• Organize and facilitate training workshops and consultation meetings.
• Prepare knowledge management materials and support communication activities.
• Maintain good working relationships with governments, donors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
• Carry out any other related tasks that may be assigned.

Experience Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in project management, climate change and food security in agriculture where at least 4 years in Libya.

Qualification Requirements

Advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in natural resource management, environmental sciences, or a related field.
