Overview

This assignment involves data processing and cleaning to support pre-census activities in Somalia, aiming to improve demographic data availability for policy and planning.

Tasks Summary

• Preparation of data for analysis including editing, splitting, merging, cleaning, imputation and restructuring.
• Development of associated syntax in SPSS or Stata for reproducibility.
• Transfer of skills to national technical staff.
• Preparation of the tabulation plan for the socio-demographic survey.
• Generation and validation of tables.

Experience Requirements

• Relevant experience aligned with the role’s responsibilities.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Stata, SAS, R, Python).
• Experience in online collaboration and development context is an asset.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in population studies/demography, statistics, computer science, economics, data science or any other relevant field.
