Overview

Consultant to draft the 11th report on the social and economic situation of Palestinian women and girls, covering the period July 2024 – June 2026.

Tasks Summary

• Draft the report as per the "Report Structure".
• Submit the First Draft of the report by: September 2026.
• Compile, integrate and amend information into the first draft per ESCWA's feedback and submit by: October 2026.
• Submit the final draft and one page as "Executive Summary" of the report by: November 2026.
• Submit list of references, hard copies of cover page and referenced page of references used in the Report.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of professional work experience in gender-sensitive research is required, including data collection, qualitative data analysis and report writing is required. Proven in-depth knowledge of the situation in Palestine, its structural setting and its socio-economic environment. And, Proven knowledge and work experience in gender and equality issues in Palestine and the Arab region more generally is required. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines is required.

Qualification Requirements

A Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Law, Human Rights or Women’s/Gender Studies or related area is required.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
