Overview
Consultant to connect beneficiary businesses with local business angels and investment communities in Shymkent, supporting two businesses.
Tasks Summary
- Identify local business angel clubs, startup hubs, incubators, accelerators, and private investors, collecting information on requirements, criteria, and processes.
- Prepare beneficiaries for pitch presentations, review business models, financials, and growth potential, and guide improvements to meet investor expectations.
- Organize pitch days, meet-ups, or closed sessions with business angels.
- Facilitate introductions to angel clubs, startup platforms, or investor networks.
- Guide beneficiaries during meetings and follow-up steps.
- Prepare interim and final reports detailing activities, connections made, beneficiaries' progress, and recommendations.
Experience Requirements
- Five years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in working with startups, business angels, or investment communities.
- Experience in mentoring or training small businesses.
- Good knowledge of the local investment/startup ecosystem in Kazakhstan.
- Strong networking and communication skills.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, social sciences, marketing, business administration, sustainable development or a related field.
