Overview

The AI Hub Campaign & Knowledge Specialist will shape the programme narrative for the AI Hub for Sustainable Development, focusing on AI foundations for development and private sector growth. The role involves co-designing programmes and leading campaigns to mobilize stakeholder action.

Tasks Summary
  • Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the AI Hub's knowledge and insights strategy.
  • Build processes, methodologies, and campaign strategies in partnership with G7, Africa, and relevant authorities.
  • Support partners in identifying and fostering new partnerships and catalyzing actions through campaigns and advocacy.
  • Develop and execute AI Hub programmes campaigns, setting objectives, conducting stakeholder mapping, and managing team.
  • Establish monitoring, evaluation, and learning approaches, including setting KPIs and conducting interviews.
  • Design and pilot new approaches for connecting media, communities, and communications teams.
  • Work closely with the Director of the AI Hub and Head of Programmes on go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage partnership expectations and visibility.
  • Steer research to identify priority themes for thought leadership.
  • Design creative approaches to identify and retain target audience interest.
  • Participate in global AI forums and conferences to position UNDP as a thought leader.
  • Manage stakeholder events.
Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of experience with a master's degree or 7 years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in AI, digital transformation, or sustainable development.
  • Proven track record of experience leading impactful multi-stakeholder campaigns.
  • Proven track record of experience managing diverse partner visibility.
  • Proven track record of experience navigating high-stake environments and driving actions by ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of experience identifying partnerships and designing impactful initiatives with the private sector.
  • Deep understanding of diverse stakeholder groups and experience in LDCs, Africa, and other underserved regions.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence global policy and drive organizational change.
  • Understanding of different contexts and experience working with developing countries is desired.
  • Knowledge of international development and key challenges affecting developing countries is desired.
Qualification Requirements
  • An advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Design, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology management, Education, or a relevant technical field is required.
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas stated above in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in oral and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of another official UN language or a local language from partner countries is advantageous.
