Overview

The National Livestock Specialist will provide technical and operational support for the effective implementation of livestock development projects across multiple Pacific Island countries, focusing on poultry, dairy, and broader livestock production systems.

Tasks Summary

• Study project documents to understand expected outcomes, activities, and timelines.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and supporting international and national consultants.
• Liaise with project countries to help them complete project activities.
• Support the development of targeted action plans.
• Assist in identifying suitable Service Providers and developing Letters of Agreement (LoAs).
• Support the organization of stakeholder consultation workshops and training events.
• Coordinate periodic reporting by liaising with country focal points.
• Support with the procurement of required equipment and materials.
• Compile and collate monthly project updates and training reports.

Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in agriculture or livestock-related work.

Qualification Requirements

• Diploma or certificate in agriculture, livestock production, animal husbandry, animal science, or a related field.
