Overview

Provide administrative and procurement support to a project team for effective implementation as per ILO guidelines and procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and evaluate vendor performance regarding quality, prices, delivery, equipment, and procurement.
  • Evaluate bids and exchange information with suppliers.
  • Provide information on item specifications and prices.
  • Place purchase orders for equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Analyse procurement plans submitted by requesting units.
  • Plan associated procurement actions.
  • Prepare, oversee preparation of, and conduct Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Analyse and evaluate vendors' proposals.
  • Prepare purchase orders and submit for approval in ILO ERP system (IRIS).
  • Sign purchase orders up to the authorized limit.
  • Prepare submissions to the Headquarters Procurement Review Committee for review and approval.
  • Draft and oversee drafting of contracts.
  • Provide advice on contractual clauses.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Recommend amendments and extensions of contracts.
  • Advise concerned parties on contractual rights and obligations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience

At least five years of experience in procurement, preferably in public procurement, including in government, I/NGOs, UN agencies and other bi/multi-lateral organizations.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school or higher.
