Stowarzyszenie Osada Możliwości Prosinko 28, Poland Volunteer opportunity: GARDENING AND NATURAL BUILDING IN THE COMMUNITY
During these two months, volunteers will learn a lot through practice about gardening, land regeneration, natural building and living in a community. You will experience what it means to care for the land and each other. In addition to many practical skills, you will have the opportunity to deepen your connection with yourself and world around you. Your volunteer work will be related to daily life in Osada.Earth. You will participate in day-to-day gardening work, small retention and food forest project. We will build a small wooden hut together from scratch. You will be involved in the further construction of our community house using natural building methods. Volunteers will also support backstage team during events and workshops. Living in a community also means sharing daily responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning. We invite you to the enriching experience of working on the land with the community. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements We practice voluntary simplicity. You will live in shared glamping tents equipped with mattresses, and when finished, in the shared wooden hut. Ecological dry outdoor toilets with hot outdoor showers are shared with other residents. We provide three vegan/vegetarian meals a day and access to the pantry and garden crops. We try to eat nutritious and local food. Our farm is located far from towns and close to the forest. There is a bus service to the nearest town, Czaplinek. We have a community car that can be used with resident's consent. We encourage participants to travel without planes. Participant profile We are looking for volunteers who are interested in community life on the land. Young people looking for their place in society, who are curious about life and are concerned about our troubled world. We are looking for people that are pragmatic and that want to do things with their hands and learn how to use hand tools. The living conditions are simple, but you will live close to the nature and will be able to experience the magic of spring in Poland.
